Giovanna is an enlightening and exhilarating speaker whose audiences come away rejuvenated and motivated to strive for their dreams and goals. No matter what field of interest brings your audience together, Giovanna will inspire them to reach for greater heights. At a time when fear is beginning to trump hope, her message is timely and designed to be a wakeup call for everyone—an urgent reminder of what the American Dream is all about and how to attain it.

Giovanna has penned the book Why Chinese Women Are Not Broke: Real Life Stories and Proven Keys for Success. The book is based on interviews with 100 highly successful Chinese American women, including CEOs of Qualcomm, Wal-Mart and State Farm, ambassadors, congresswomen, judges, professors, and TV anchors, as well as on her own experience as a bootstrap entrepreneur who emigrated from China to the U.S. alone at the tender age of 16. After a few years of more downs than ups, Giovanna persevered and, with a lot of hard work and determination, changed $300 into a multi-million dollar computer network and consulting company, which she sold before the age of 40 to retire financially independent.

As an immigrant who is living the American Dream, Giovanna is now poised to share the secrets to her success and the successes of the other 100 women she interviewed, and to inspire her audiences to reaffirm their belief in the American dream and their ability to attain it.

She will tailor her speech for your audience, but her two signature programs are as follows (Each runs anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour):

1) There is no Drive-Thru to the American Dream

Coming at a crucial time for the American psyche, Giovanna reminds us that the American Dream is still achievable if we maintain a finely tuned balance between the core values that our respective forefathers imported to America and the unique freedoms, creativity and opportunities that America offers. This seminar reminds us there is “no drive-thru to success” and highlights compelling stories from Giovanna’s own experience as well as those of several of the women she interviewed for her book. It includes an overview of her seven keys to success: Harness Your Passion; Create a Mindset for Success; Work the Right Way; Connect and Communicate; Understand Money; Live with Integrity; Always Keep Growing.

2) It’s a Balancing Act

Through stories from her own experience as a Chinese immigrant and a highly successful bootstrap entrepreneur, and the stories of many of the 100 trailblazing Chinese American women she interviewed for her book, Giovanna will illustrate the fertile middle ground she has discovered between two opposing world views- the fine-tuned balance that has allowed her to reap the extraordinary benefits of both cultures:

  • Discipline vs. Freedom

  • Humbleness vs. Assertiveness

  • Conformity vs. Individuality

  • Selflessness vs. Selfishness
